Defining Outcome Measures within Value Based Healthcare

July 6, 2012

Due to overwhelming success, the masterclass Outcome Measures was held again on Monday July 2nd. The goal of the masterclass was to create an environment to share the latest insights of Outcome Measures from the academic network of The Decision Institute and the experiences of the present executives.  During the masterclass, the importance of Outcome Measures was illustrated by a case setting. Interactive workgroups led to innovative solutions and practical suggestions focussed on improving quality and efficiency in healthcare.  The  key learning is: Establishing Outcome Measures is an essential step in creating Patient Value.

It was an afternoon that has changed the view of participants completely:

  • “This masterclass got me thinking…It has changed my view on care delivery”.
  • “Finally I have discovered how to deliver care from a patient’s perspective. Now I know that up to now we have been thinking from the physicians’ perspective”.
  • “Refreshing practical concept. First thing I’ll do tomorrow is to develop  outcome measures for a medical condition in my field of expertise”.
