The first inspiring workshop of the Strategy & Governance Excellence Series was held on Tuesday June 19th. The case-teaching workshops, following the successful Clinical Management Workshop Series, and attracted proffesionals in various sectors, all with a clear vision on strategy. The Harvard Business Case Google Inc was taught with a focus on the advanced strategies the company uses to stay ahead of the curve.

The gained insight on strategy and business cultures were actively discussed and illustrated the key learning that companies should focus on their core competences and diversify into new areas. After the inspiring discussion the session was closed with drinks and bites at the bar in the castle Salentein in Nijkerk.

The next workshop of the Strategy & Governance Excellence Series is held on Thursday, September 6th, with the Harvard Business Case New Century Financial Corporation. The case describes NCFC’s business model and accounting practices. It focuses on the role of management, audit committee, and external auditors in the problems based on the findings of the Bankruptcy Examiner
