Individuals who complete a Ph.D. receive the title of ‘doctor.’ A doctoral degree requires extensive research often leading to the completion of a dissertation. The DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) degree is the equivalent to Ph.D. in Business Administration, but it tends towards more applied research than theoretical research. Usually the DBA dissertations are making more direct contribution to the business practice.
